The American lobster is a common crustacean
along the Atlantic coast from New England through the Carolinas. They
can be found on sandy bottoms, around wrecks and in rock piles. And
game fish know this!Striped bass,
drum, weakfish (sea trout), cobia, even flounder aggressively feed on
lobsters in these waters. This pattern is designed to imitate the
American lobster in a size they eat like candy! The pattern can be
fished day or night, using either a slow and steady retrieve to
imitate a lobster crawling along the bottom, or with short strips to
imitate a lobster darting away from a predator.
This pattern is also very effective at
imitating many other lobster species throughout the world as well as
crawfish in freshwater.
